Our History

In 1999 three cooperatives comprising of the Farmers Union of Velva, Butte, Drake and Cenex of Minot, along with SunPrairie Grain, took their agronomy assets and pooled them into an LLC now known as Dakota Agronomy Partners (D.A.P.). Today the LLC is evenly owned by Cenex of Minot and SunPrairie Grain. The purpose and intent was to combine our assets and strengths to provide a stronger agronomy presence, instead of duplicating services for our growers of the region. Since 1999, Dakota Agronomy Partners has grown and improved many of its services. D.A.P. currently has operations in Minot, Glenburn, Velva and Ryder, offering a full line of agronomy products, custom applications and has many certified crop consultants.

In 2004 the D.A.P. board of directors made the decision to build what is now known as ‘mega-fertilizer plant". The plant was constructed and ready for business the spring of 2005 and has been a tremendous asset for the area in insuring a dependable supply of crop nutrients as well as striving to offer greater efficiency and speed in the delivering of fertilizer to the growers of the region.
