Yesterday was a big day for our Newburg location. We dumped our first load of fertilizer into the new plant. We have also begun the tear down of the old fertilizer plant. Thanks to the support of our patrons and our board of directors this is our third plant to come online in the last three years. We are excited to continue to make investments into our locations and bring producers the products and services they need.
A big thank you to our maintenance team who constructed all three plants. We have a very talented team that continues to bring solutions and value to our patrons.

How much nitrogen is the volunteer grain using in your fields? How thick is the volunteer grain? At what stage does volunteer grain start to really draw nitrogen?
Agvise has shown that when volunteer grain gets to boot or flag leaf stage it can draw down large amounts of N: 30-90 lbs/A. At tillering stage it starts to use more N. Fall burndown isn't just about weed control/ it can be about preserving N.
The cooperative system was built to solve challenges farmers can't tackle alone. That's why CHS and OCP North America have announced a proposed joint venture to build the first new phosphate fertilizer production facility in the United States in 40 years. The project would help provide farmers and cooperatives with access to a more reliable domestic source of phosphate-based fertilizer, helping strengthen U.S. agriculture for generations to come.
